ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22 AT 6:30 PM, THE BROADWAY BOYS return to their home at Birdland to kick off the holiday season with a bang! They’ll be joined by Broadway belter Shoshana Bean. This concert is presented by Jim Caruso’s Cast Party, and is part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series.

The Broadway Boys are a collection of the hottest tenor voices currently working on the New York stage. Representing shows such as Wicked, Rent, Hair, Jersey Boys, Altar Boyz, Billy Elliott, Mary Poppins, and Memphis, the Boys infuse elements of pop/gospel/funk/jazz to a traditional Broadway repertoire, creating an evening that has been called "a symphony of sound." By redefining the musical theater sound for audiences, the Boys are able to present showtune listeners with familiar music in a fresh way, while introducing non-theater listeners to an amazing genre of music in musical styles to which they are accustomed.

The Broadway Boys have performed sold out concerts at Birdland in NYC, on Rosie O'Donnell's FAMILY CRUISE, and are touring the entire United States, having just recently performed at the Weston Playhouse in VT, The Mad Cow Theater in Orlando, FL, and at MusikFest in Bethlehem, PA (in a lineup including American Idol's David Cook, The B52's, Joan Jett, Rufus Wainwright, and many more).

Jim Caruso’s Cast Party is proud to announce that on Monday November 23rd, critically acclaimed seven-time MAC Award Winner Natalie Douglas will return to her perch at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club with her new show, “To Lena…A Tribute To The Lady And Her Music.”  In this very special Broadway at Birdland concert, Natalie will celebrate the life and songs of the incomparable Lena Horne.  For almost seventy years this lovely & sophisticated lady graced the world stage with her poise, dignity, humor, talent, brains and trailblazing style.  Natalie, with her longtime musical director and arranger – Avenue Q’s Mark Hartman – and her band of Broadway All-Stars, will revisit the eras, the milestones, and the music in a not-to-be-missed evening of Arlen, Berlin, Porter & Strayhorn; featuring tunes like “As Long As I Live,” “I Love to Love,” “From This Moment On,”  “If You Believe” and of course, “Stormy Weather.”

Natalie Douglas has won seven MAC Awards, a Nightlife Award, and a Backstage Bistro Award.  Her concert and theater appearances include regular sold-out performances at Birdland as part of the Broadway at Birdland series, The Kennedy Center, The London Cabaret Convention, Black2: Broadway - Divas, Children of Eden at Riverside Church for the York Theatre, Brooklyn to Hollywood at Town Hall, several editions of The Atrainplays at Neighborhood Playhouse, Playwrights Horizons and the New World Stages, The Thalia Follies at Symphony Space and most recently, in the Off Broadway hit, The People vs. Mona, by Jim and Patricia Wann of Pumpboys & Dinettes fame.  Natalie’s critically acclaimed debut CD, “Not That Different,” was nominated for a 2000 MAC Award for Outstanding Recording and is currently in its third printing.  Natalie's most recent CD, “To Nina...Live At Birdland” has been released to critical acclaim and selections from the CD continue to be featured on NPR, Sirius Rado and XM Radio.
