The
Lascivious Biddies
(pictured right) braved the cold and paid a visit to Cast
Party on Monday night, much to the delight of the Birdland
crowd. If you don't know these dazzling divas, you simply must click on
their biddycast
and hear what all the fuss is about. They brought down the house with
their highly original songs, “Betty” and
“Famous.” (LISTEN.)
We were also blessed by the appearance of one rockin' cellist, Trevor
Exter. You rarely hear the words 'rock' and 'cello' together,
but he's created an amazing new sound that we're nuts about. The ever-elegant
Charles Cochran flew in from Palm Beach for a shocking
change of weather, and favored us with delectable medley of “Dancing
on a Dime” and “Dream Dancing.”
Charlie certainly leads the parade of chic supperclub entertainers, now
that Bobby Short has joined the choir. Denise
Lee's performance of “God Bless The Child”
was a revelation, too. She sang her face off, and we hope she makes another
trip from Dallas soon! Tedd Firth and Steve
Doyle accompanied dozens of Cast Party regulars and quite
a few newcomers…we can't wait for next week!

Then, you can stick around for yet another eclectic, wacked-out, inspiring

About
Jim Caruso's Cast Party... |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

"The Party simply glows
with New York nightlife ambiance. It feels like a throwback to another
era but it has this era's top-notch entertainers dropping in to schmooze,
sing, eat, and drink. Caruso consistently provides a
flow of exciting singers, and he's definitely hip, cool and classy all
by himself."
