Last week...

Jim and Hilary Kole

January 21, 2005

Monday’s Cast Party was jammed with tons-o-talent! Getting their ditties on were Brooklyn’s Julie Rheyber, Into the WoodsTrent Kendall, Singing Astaire’s Hilary Kole (in a classic Cast Party clinch with Jim, right), Toxic Audio’s Garth Kravits, David Goldman, Christine Lavin, Roy Merriwether, Ryan Leeds, Béat, Emily Mattheson, Natalie Douglas, Lynne Halliday, and so many more. Jazzy guy Eric Hoffman crooned and played trombone. Julie Garnye’s haunting rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" was improved, if that is possible, by a heavenly choir of marching revelers parading across the Birdland stage. (…a first for Cast Party, to say nothing of Birdland…)

That’s Trent Kendall, Jaime Donegan and Julie Rheybar in the photo below.

Here's a dynamic performance of a brand new song (albeit from 1970). We just don't know what else to say.

Coming up...

Trent Kendall, Jaime Donegan and Julie Rheybar This next week we thought it would be fun to narrow the musical field a little…and want you all to perform your favorite 70’s song! It can be a beloved
pop tune, or something from the Broad-way. It’ll be groovy. Also, we’re terribly excited for the upcoming Amanda Green & Tom Kitt & Friends concerts on Monday, January 24th and 31st at 7pm. They have an unbelievable lineup of talent to sing their brilliant and hilarious material… like Brooks Ashmanskas, Mario Cantone, Jenn Colella, Jerry Dixon, Matt McGrath, Matthew Morrison, Julia Murney, Greg Naughton, Alice Ripley, and Amy Spanger! As if that weren’t enough, Julia Murney will be doing one of her rare concerts on Monday, February 7th at 7pm, with the most excellent Tom Kitt at the piano. If you’ve ever seen any of these folks, you know they sell OUT! Call Birdland now for reservations. 212.581.3080.
